Eye Screening and Diagnostic Tests

Besides our specialised services in cataract surgery and glaucoma treatment, we also offer a wide range of eye screenings, diagnostic tests, as well as medical and surgical treatments for all eye conditions.

General Eye Screening

Comprehensive and regular eye examinations can help assess visual acuity, overall eye health and detect eye diseases early. This is crucial in enabling timely intervention to preserve and protect vision health.

Myopia

Myopia, or nearsightedness is an eye condition where distance vision appears blurry compared to near vision. Various interventions including corrective eyewear, special atropine eye drops and vision corrective procedures can keep myopia progression under control.

Presbyopia

Presbyopia refers to the gradual loss of the eyes’ ability to focus on close objects due to natural ageing. Treatments in the form of corrective eyewear, lens implant and laser eye surgery are available at our clinic to help effectively correct presbyopia.

Diabetic Eye Diseases

This is a group of eye conditions associated with diabetes, including diabetic retinopathy and macular oedema, that can cause vision loss if left untreated. Timely diabetic eye screening and treatments like laser therapy, injections and surgery are available to slow or stop disease progression.

Strabismus

Strabismus, also known as squint, refers to the misalignment of the eyes, causing visual misalignment and other conditions such as lazy eye. Effective treatments including corrective glasses and eye patches can help rectify the misalignment for improved visual function. This is common in young children.

Contact Lens-related Disorders

Various eye diseases can arise from the improper use of contact lenses, such as infections, allergies and dry eyes. Our ophthalmologist will evaluate your condition and administer targeted treatments that are best suited to your condition.

Corneal Conditions

This is a group of disorders in which the protective outer layer of the eye (cornea) is inflamed or damaged, and may cause vision loss. Fortunately, they can be effectively treated with specialised eye drops, laser therapy or cornea surgery, depending on the severity of disease or injury.

Retinal Diseases

Conditions affecting the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye (retina), such as age-related macular degeneration, retinal tears, and retinal detachment, can cause vision distortion or vision loss. Early intervention through laser therapy, medications or surgery can go a long way in preserving vision.
